Food/Truck Vendors

Dear Food Vendors, 

Happy 2022! Are visions of Maine wild blueberries dancing in your heads?  Are you done with this pandemic? So are we! Below is all the information you will need to be a food vendor at the 45th Annual Machias Wild Blueberry Festival. This year’s dates are August 19-21.  

All food vendors will be expected  to participate on all three days. Set up will be on the Church Commons (please see the map). Our capable Vendor Tenders will be available to help you with questions or concerns during set-up times and throughout the festival. 

We will have electricity for you. We would prefer that you do not use a generator (unless it is relatively quiet). We will expect all food vendors to comply with Maine State food vendor requirements, laws, and all licensing requirements.

When you complete your application, we will need to know what size space you will require, as well as any other requirements you may have. 

 Wi-Fi access will be available to all our vendors, and you will be provided with an access password when you arrive. The Machias Police Department will patrol for security. 

  • Pricing for Food Vendors is: $350.00 for the entire festival.

Vendor spaces will be assigned by the end of May (I hope it’s sooner, but I’m giving myself some wiggle room), on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will make every effort to accommodate your space request. When we receive your application and payment, you will be assigned a space.

We will still provide the vendor shuttle service, as well as daytime and overnight parking at Machias Memorial High School. This parking lot can accommodate recreational vehicles or tenting, but there is no electricity or water. The dedicated shuttle service will run on Saturday and Sunday. If you opt for the three-day lot, Court Street and Centre Street will be open on Friday, so the shuttle service will not be needed on this day.  Parking will be “on your own” on Friday,  but not allowed on Court or Center Streets. You will receive a “vendor tag” to place in your car during the festival. Parking will NOT be allowed on Court Street or Centre Street on Saturday and Sunday NOR will it be allowed at any time on any part of the Church Commons/Green Space, or any of the Vendor lots, including overnight. Your vehicle will be at risk for being towed at your own expense. Please help us cooperate with our local police department. 

Set-up times are as follows:  

Food vendors on the Church Commons Lot: Thursday evening between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm or from 6:00 am to 8:00 am on Friday morning.  

Absolutely no early set-ups. If you do, you will be asked to leave the festival. 

Please register with your Vendor Tenders when you arrive and before you set up. The Vendor Tenders for the Church Common lots will be at the top of the lot, catty corner from the T-shirt booth, in the “Fresh Blueberries” booth. The Vendor Tenders for the other two lots will be stationed at their respective lots and will be wearing volunteer tags that say “Vendor Tender”.  

We expect vendors to stay for the days for which they have registered. Vendor hours will be 9am-5pm on Friday and Saturday and 9am-3pm on Sunday.  Out of courtesy to our festival guests, vendors who choose to leave before the end of these assigned hours may not be invited back another year. 

We will welcome you with coffee and blueberry muffins available on the Church Commons at the “Fresh Blueberries” booth Saturday morning, and your dedicated Vendor Tenders will be available to answer your questions and help you with any issues that may arise throughout the festival. 

We look forward to opening up our vendor space to food vendors this year. We are excited and are hoping for a wide variety of interesting and unique food offerings.
