Festival Banner Contest
Sponsored by the Wild Blueberry Commission of Maine
Colorful blueberry banners decorate Machias during the festival. Any child up to age 16, adult or family, organization or business may participate in the banner contest.
Completed banners must be delivered to the Centre Street Congregational Church for judging by 2 p.m. on the Friday before the festival (August 10, 2012). The banners are displayed on Main Street in Machias during the week of the festival.
Submitting your banner entry
Banners must be 2 feet wide by 3 feet high (2-inch variable allowed). A 3-inch rod pocket must be at the top and bottom for mounting during the festival. The subject matter should represent Washington County, especially blueberries. This year there will be four winners for the banner contest. Each one will get a Visa gift card.
