Annual Next Step's Blueberry Fun Run and Road Race

Saturday, August 16, 2014 The 2014 Annual Blueberry 1-Mile Fun Run and 5-Mile Road Race will start at the District Attorney's office building, 46 Court St., on Saturday, August 16.

Registration is at the Hemingway Annex (The Living Room) on Court Street beginning at 7 a.m. Both races start at 8 a.m.

Registration fees are as follows: children, 1-mile race, $5 adults, 1-mile race, $10 adults, 5-mile race, $20 This race is a 5-mile scenic, hilly loop course. We encourage people of all ages to join in!

Race Features: Kick-off to the annual Machias Wild Blueberry Festival, which features craft
vendors, exhibits, and food. Chronomix timing and accurate results. Mile splits at 1 and 3.
Water at miles 2, 4, and finish. A fast downhill finish with many cheering spectators!

Awards

Awards for 5 Mile: Top 3 female & male overall. Top female & male ages 14 & under, 15-24,
25-40, 41-55, 56-70, & 71 & older.  Also 1st Walker & 1st Wheelchair.

Awards for 1 Mile: Top overall team. Top participant ages 8 & under, 9-10, & 11-13

Team Awards: 1st & 2nd teams. Teams MUST pre-register by 4pm on August 14th. Unlimited number may register. Top 3 score by place of finish. Ties are determined by fastest cumulative.
