Children's Activities
The Machias Wild Blueberry Festival is great fun for kids. The Banner Contest, the Cooking Contest, the Pie Eating Contest, and the Blueberry Run, all include children's categories.
On Friday, enjoy the Children's Parade sponsored by
the Washington County Children's Program. The Parade forms at the
Machias Baptist Church at 5:45 p.m., and all children are invited
to participate. There will be entertainment for children and families, after the parade.
On Saturday, from 10:00 to 2:00, enjoy the Kids Zone, with interactive activities for children in the Bangor Savings Bank parking lot. The Kids Zone is sponsored by Family First: PATT a program of Down East Community Hospital. The BB Tug of War at Centre Street Congregational Church takes place at 2:00 on Sat.
